Welcome to the Township Auditorium Foundation website. Thanks to the foresight and leadership of Richland County Council, South Carolina’s original “show place” has closed its doors for a significant and historic multi-million dollar renovation which will forever change the structure of the building, but not the place it has occupied in the hearts and minds of South Carolinians, since its grand opening in 1930.
This important renovation project will breathe new life into “our auditorium” for the next century. It will allow our community, our friends, and neighbors unprecedented access to more ballet, more musicals, more classical, country, gospel and rock and roll entertainment, more recitals, more plays, more graduations, more comedy and more sporting events.
